The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,500 collaborators. The Rennaz Hospital Centre has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatric and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. Our Gynaecology-Obstetrics service notably handles nearly 2,000 births per year.

For the creation of this position, we are looking for a permanent contract for a:

Midwife M/F, head of care unit at 80% for the outpatient sector: gynaecological and obstetrical emergencies and outpatient consultations of the service

The main duties of this position are

• Provide leadership to the team with a clear and transparent stance
• Supervise and manage the unit staff, respecting institutional guidelines
• Organise work, care activities and ensure mutual support among collaborators
• Ensure quality reception of patients and services provided
• Participate in staff recruitment
• Engage in quality projects and research protocols within the unit
• Guarantee an open, flexible, creative and innovative spirit

We require

• A Bachelor’s degree in midwifery or nurse-midwifery or an equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years’ experience in obstetrics and gynaecology
• Training in frontline management, or commitment to undertake such training
• Team management experience is an asset, as well as leadership skills
• Ability to work in a team, sense of collaboration and organisation, priority management
• Good command of IT tools
