Senior Java Software Engineer (m/f) 80-100%
This is what your daily routine looks like
- At the heart: You are involved in the further development of complex and modern software in the environment of our contract core system and develop high-quality JavaEE applications.
- You support the team in developing demanding, architecture-compliant solution variants and help to prototypically evaluate new solution approaches. You build automated tests and conduct code reviews.
- You build it, you run it! As a DevOps and Scrum team member, you are responsible for the entire lifecycle of the applications – from conception to operation.
- Keeping up to date: You use modern software engineering practices such as Clean Code, Clean Architecture (Onion Architecture), TDD, BDD, and DDD.
- You are part of an Agile Release Train, which works according to the Lean-Agile mindset of SAFe and creates an environment where collaboration and continuous improvement are a matter of course.
- You bring your curiosity for the professional topics of an insurance company and gradually expand your understanding of the domain.
What you bring with you
- First and foremost: You have at least 5 years of experience in agile software development with current Java technologies and enjoy complex tasks in the JEE environment. You are familiar with several of these technologies or products: Java, JEE, Quarkus, databases (SQL), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cucumber.
- Your experience in building and operating native cloud solutions is also impressive. You move confidently in modern DevOps environments.
- Experience in the insurance industry is not a must, but you have interest and enthusiasm to work your way into new professional topics and understand connections.
- A computer science education or a degree in software development – whether classic or with detours, we are open to your individual career path.
- You shape the old instead of avoiding it and have experience with refactoring complex legacy applications.
- High software quality is a matter of course for you – your code is thoughtful, clean, and sustainable.
