German Teacher – Primary and Lower Secondary Level (Maternity Cover)

A motivated team, a modern school concept: We are quickly seeking reinforcement for our German team in Grens. This is a fixed-term substitute position. Bilingual classes in the middle school, demanding advanced courses in lower secondary: your timetable is as varied as your classes. For our school in Grens, we are looking for a teacher as maternity cover: 19 periods of German (approx. 80%) in 5th and 6th HarmoS (middle school) as well as in 9th and 10th HarmoS (lower secondary level).

YOUR TASK:

• You teach German as a language subject in 5th and 6th as well as in 9th and 10th HarmoS;
• You promote listening comprehension, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar, and support the pupils in their learning progress;
• You ensure continuity in teaching and work closely with the team to ensure a smooth handover from the regular teacher.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: A PERSON WHO TRANSMITS LANGUAGE

• You speak German as your first language and have good French skills (at least B2);
• Teaching experience is a prerequisite; a pedagogical qualification is an advantage but not mandatory;
• You are flexible and quickly find your way in existing classes;
• You approach pupils with kindness and clarity, in line with our Positive Discipline approach;
• You are a good team player, work in a structured way and are familiar with new technologies in education.
