"The Centre for Addiction Disorders is part of the Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the PDAG (Clinic Director Prof. Dr. med. Marc Walter) and is jointly led by PD Dr. med. Eva-Maria Pichler, Chief Physician, and Michael Geissberger, Head of Nursing. It treats people with addiction disorders including psychological secondary and accompanying illnesses, especially dual diagnoses, and covers the spectrum from harm reduction to abstinence-oriented treatment. At the main site in Windisch, three specialised wards with different treatment focuses and day hospital places are available. Also in Windisch, the centre conducts substitution-supported treatment as well as heroin-assisted treatment for people with opioid dependence. At the locations Aarau, Baden and Windisch, it offers outpatient addiction medical assessments, treatments and specialist consultations, also for behavioural addictions. Participation in ongoing clinical research projects is possible and supported. The centre is an SIWF-recognised training centre for the specialty of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of Addiction Disorders, category A, inpatient and outpatient (2 years for the specialty, 1 additional year creditable towards the specialist title)."
Profile
- Certified nurse HF or FH
- Ideally, you have initial experience in the addiction field
- You are a person with high social competence and gladly take responsibility within your competencies
- You enjoy creatively contributing to the further development and optimisation of ward processes
- You approach new challenges in a solution-oriented and pragmatic manner
- You are an optimistic, flexible and team-oriented personality with a great sense of humour
Tasks
- You care for, accompany and support people with an addiction disorder, from support during physical withdrawal to planning follow-up treatment
- You set the nursing therapeutic and addiction-specific goals within the core team
- You accompany our patients as part of the key worker role, considering the ward concept and in consultation with the core team
- You see yourself as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team and are partly responsible for the optimal implementation of a recovery-oriented approach
- You implement nursing interventions in crisis and intensive care and conduct family/employer discussions as agreed
- You lead therapeutic group offerings, such as psychoeducation, mindfulness and auricular acupuncture
- You work in day and night shifts
