Senior Engineer Cloud & Security (m/f/d)

Role:
This role combines operational work with genuine opportunities to shape things. You use both. You keep infrastructure, workplaces, and security solutions stable and continuously improve them. You question processes and find ways to automate and digitalise. You plan and implement projects with specialist departments and external partners. You evaluate new technologies and introduce them if they are convincing.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the operation, monitoring, and optimisation of the infrastructure, workplace, security, and application landscape
You scrutinise existing solutions and develop sustainable improvements
You support employees across all support levels and resolve technical faults
You drive the further development of IT and business processes and identify automation potential
You lead IT projects from planning to implementation
Additionally, you evaluate technologies and help shape the technological direction and standardisation
Qualifications:
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field
You bring at least 5 years of practical experience in operating and expanding IT landscapes, preferably from a regulated environment
You have solid knowledge of Microsoft server and cloud technologies, networking, virtualisation, backup, and security
You translate technical and professional requirements into pragmatic solutions
You are enthusiastic about automation and AI-supported process optimisation; BI experience is welcome
You work proactively, think in a networked way, are discreet, and communicate very well in German and English
