Professional Workplace Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for the central client platform – from design through deployment and operation to ongoing optimisation. You provide a standardised, stable, and secure device ecosystem, operate and further develop the MS Intune environment, and shape the Windows client lifecycle including software distribution, patch management, and automation with PowerShell. You are responsible for the management and compliance of M365 devices, implement conditional access and device compliance requirements, and integrate vulnerability management measures as well as security controls on the endpoints. You ensure consistent client hardening, compliance with security and regulatory requirements, and handle 2nd- and 3rd-level issues in the client environment. Additionally, you lead client-related projects and document your solutions in a structured, comprehensible, and verifiable manner.
Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for the client platform from design to stable operation.
- In this role, you provide a standardised, secure, and stable device ecosystem.
- You operate and further develop our MS Intune environment as well as the Windows client lifecycle.
- As a workplace infrastructure engineer, you automate software distribution, patch management, and M365 device management including compliance.
- You consistently implement security and compliance requirements such as conditional access, device compliance, vulnerability management, and client hardening.
- In this role, you handle 2nd- and 3rd-level issues, lead client-related projects, and document solutions comprehensibly.
Qualifications:
- IT education or equivalent, solid practical experience in the IT environment
- Several years of experience with Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Microsoft 365 in complex environments
- Deep experience in the Windows client lifecycle, including deployment, operation, and hardening according to standards such as CIS
- Confident handling of endpoint security/XDR solutions, ideally Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
- Experienced in using PowerShell for automation, standardisation, and optimisation of workplace processes
- Familiar with regulated environments, compliance requirements, and a structured, process-oriented approach with clear controls
