Brief & Concise
- Completed training in hospitality or gastronomy (EFZ or equivalent)
- Certified sommelier training (e.g. WSET Level 3, CMS or equivalent qualification); further advanced training is an advantage
- Proven professional experience as a junior sommelier or higher, ideally in a luxury-class establishment or a restaurant with high standards
- Excellent expertise in wine, sparkling wine, and food pairing, as well as a confident manner in guest contact
- Fluent English skills, both spoken and written; any additional language is an advantage
- Well-groomed appearance, confident manners, and a natural sense of discretion and style
- High level of teamwork, resilience, and flexibility – even during intense service periods
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
Your Responsibilities
- With expert sensitivity and confident demeanour, you manage the wine and sparkling wine service for our international guests.
- You enthusiastically and competently present our carefully curated wine list to guests – individually, authentically, and at the highest level.
- Personal recommendations, a fine sense of preferences, and confident handling of special requests are part of your self-image.
- You ensure the professional service and quality of all wines and sparkling wines at all times.
- With a sense of aesthetics and precision, you contribute to preparing and maintaining a stylish ambience in the restaurant.
- You are a reliable support in the team for à la carte service or exclusive banquet events when needed.
- In close coordination with the kitchen, service, and management, you create a harmonious and seamless guest experience.
- Mise-en-place, cleanliness, order, and proper storage in the wine area are your responsibility.
- Your passion for wine and personal touch make every visit a special experience.
