About the position For our client - a highly specialised, internationally operating technology company in the defence and special vehicle construction sector - we are looking for a assertive and strategically minded Program Manager Mission Systems (m/f/d). In this key position, you will take overall responsibility for the successful planning, control and execution of demanding, customer-related mission system programmes from conception to delivery.
Your main tasks
Programme & project management: Holistic responsibility for the timely, budget-compliant and quality-assured implementation of complex customer projects.
Cost & risk management: Monitoring financial key figures, conducting risk analyses as well as managing change processes including regular management reporting.
Interface coordination: Active leadership, negotiation and coordination with international customers, key suppliers and internal departments.
Contract compliance: Ensuring the seamless, contract-compliant fulfilment of all agreed performance and system requirements.
Process optimisation: Continuous development and refinement of internal standards in project and programme execution.
Your profile
Education: Completed engineering degree (FH/ETH/Uni) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics or industrial engineering (ideally complemented by commercial training).
Professional experience: Several years of solid experience in complex project or programme management in an industrial environment (preferably defence, special vehicle construction or automotive).
Industry know-how: Military background a great advantage, ideally related to reconnaissance systems (RECCE) or tactical sensor/electronics.
Languages: Business fluent English (level C1/C2) spoken and written; excellent German skills.
Personality: Strong leadership, communicative and interculturally skilled personality with high personal responsibility and pragmatic hands-on mentality.
Mobility: Willingness to travel worldwide (approx. 20%).
