Head of Technical Purchasing (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF100,000 - 120,000Role:
As Head of Technical Purchasing (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of technical components, materials, and services. You will lead a small purchasing team, further develop the purchasing strategy, and ensure economical, timely, and high-quality procurement.
Responsibilities:
Professional and personnel management of a small purchasing team as well as promoting efficient, independent collaboration.
Development and implementation of purchasing strategies to optimise costs, quality, delivery times, and supply security.
Ensuring smooth supply of materials and components considering deadlines, inventories, and budgets.
Selection, evaluation, and development of suppliers as well as building long-term and partnership-based business relationships.
Conducting price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations with suppliers.
Identifying and implementing savings potentials as well as continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
Qualifications:
Technical basic training, for example in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, or a comparable field, supplemented by further training in purchasing, supply chain management, or business administration.
Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing, ideally with responsibility for strategic procurement and supplier management.
Initial leadership experience or demonstrable ability to motivate, coordinate, and develop a small team.
Sound knowledge in price negotiations, cost analyses, contract management, and procurement processes.
Strong technical understanding as well as the ability to combine economic and technical requirements.
Entrepreneurial thinking, negotiation skills, and a structured, solution-oriented working style.
Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and enjoyment in collaborating with different specialist departments.
Confident handling of ERP systems and MS Office.
Good German and English skills
