Service Technician Automation (m/f/d)

Role:
In this position, you will take on the technical support of complex machines and automated systems directly at the customer’s site. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work, analyse technical faults, and ensure reliable system operation. Furthermore, you will support the continuous optimisation of service processes and be a competent contact person for technical queries.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out maintenance, inspection, and repair work on mechatronic machines and automated systems
Analysing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control technology faults
Performing fault diagnostics and initiating sustainable optimisation measures to increase system availability
Providing technical support and advice to customers and internal specialist departments
Documenting service calls, repairs, and technical adjustments
Contributing to the development and optimisation of service and maintenance processes
Carrying out assignments at customers both domestically and abroad
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery
Qualifications:
Completed training in mechatronics, automation, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
Initial experience in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens S7) as well as handling fieldbus systems and controlled drive technologies
Knowledge in maintenance and troubleshooting of automated machines and systems
High willingness for national and international travel as well as shift and weekend work
Driving licence category B
Ability to work at heights for tasks at elevated locations
Good English skills, French skills are an advantage
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
Teamwork, customer orientation, and high commitment
Fluent German skills
