What you can achieve
- Support for teachers with a focus on the physics subject area as well as complementary support in the biology and chemistry subject areas
- Preparation, development, construction and execution of experiments and test setups as well as their documentation
- Care of extensive collections, condition and function checks as well as repairs
- Assistance in the preparation and execution of internal school and extracurricular events and occasions
- Evaluation, procurement and ordering of materials and equipment including co-responsibility for the budget
- Manufacture and adjustment of simple components and aids, e.g. by drilling, sawing and grinding as well as simple soldering work
- Collaboration in the move and reorganisation of the natural sciences department in view of the partial renovation with new building in Nuolen (expected 2028)
- Care of aquariums and terrariums
What distinguishes you for this
- Completed technical or scientific vocational training, e.g. as a polymechanic EFZ, automatic technician EFZ, automatic assembler EFZ, electronics technician EFZ, physics laboratory technician EFZ or in a comparable profession
- Strong technical understanding and flair for physical contexts as well as a hands-on mentality
- Very good manual skills in handling tools, equipment and technical facilities
- Willingness and ability to independently carry out minor repairs, mechanical adjustments and simple soldering work
- Reliable, precise, independent and solution-oriented working style
- High team and communication skills
- Flexibility as well as interest in working in the education sector and in an active school community
