The Emma Couvreu Childhood Foundation since 1829 is actively committed to the reception, protection and support of minors at risk in their development. Our services are aimed at children and also their parents. We implement our actions in accordance with values that we embody daily. Our activities are fully aligned with the child protection policy established by the State of Vaud. Strong in its commitment, the Foundation manages 5 boarding schools and 6 outpatient units, employing more than 250 collaborators.

The Saint-Loup Children’s Home welcomes two groups of children aged from 1 day to 6 years benefiting from child protection measures. They are placed due to relational and functional difficulties encountered by their families.

As part of a position renewal, we are looking for a social educator at 80%, for a permanent contract.

Job description

• Ensure, in collaboration with colleagues, the daily support of the group of children aged from 1 day to 6 years benefiting from child protection measures, in accordance with the defined educational project

• Work closely with the parents and families of the children received

• Propose and organise activities conducive to the healthy development of the children

• Carry out nursing and educational care

• Manage daily and administrative tasks

Your profile

• Hold one of the following diplomas, or an equivalent qualification

- HES or ES Social Educator

- Early Childhood Educator

• Ideally, have experience and continuing education in the field of childhood
• Proven ability to manage, lead and contain groups of children with behavioural disorders
• Ability to work both independently with a group of children and collaboratively in a team
• Driving licence essential

Start date: 01.01.2027 or to be agreed.
