Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader as Head of Ventilation / Air Conditioning for an established Swiss building technology company. You will take over the personnel, technical and economic management of the ventilation and air conditioning technology division and be responsible for the successful execution of demanding implementation projects. In addition to budget, results and profitability responsibility, you will manage order allocation, acquisition and quality assurance and further develop existing customer relationships. As part of the management team, you will also contribute to the strategic and operational development of the location and the building technology business.
Responsibilities:
Personnel and technical management of the ventilation / air conditioning division including leadership and development of the project and implementation teams
Overall responsibility for budget, sales, results and profitability of the assigned business area
Organisation, allocation and monitoring of all ventilation and air conditioning projects within the area of responsibility
Management of demanding implementation projects from order placement through planning and realisation to billing
Ongoing monitoring of project costs, deadlines, quality, resources and contribution margins
Responsibility for acquisition, tendering and calculation as well as winning new projects and clients
Technical and commercial support of clients, general contractors, planning offices and other business partners
Ensuring professional project planning, installation, commissioning and handover of ventilation and air conditioning systems
Responsibility for quality assurance, change order management and project controlling across the entire specialist area
Capacity and resource planning as well as coordination of personnel, materials, suppliers and subcontractors
Participation in internal specialist and experience-sharing groups as well as further development of technical and organisational standards
Participation in the management team and active involvement in the strategic development of the location and business area
Qualifications:
Further education as a certified technician HF building technology HVAC or comparable higher professional qualification in ventilation and air conditioning technology
Many years of professional experience in executive project management for ventilation and air conditioning systems
Several years of personnel and technical leadership experience in building technology
Sound knowledge in calculation, tendering, project controlling and change order management
Experience with budget, results and profitability responsibility within a specialist or business area
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, energy requirements and Swiss building technology standards
Very good German language skills for leadership, contract negotiations and technical project management
