Reference: CLS/RH/2026.774 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 100% / Hours: Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00 / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 "Riponne" stop or Bus 2, 3 or 21 "Beaulieu-Jomini" stop)
Why do we need you?
To ensure the smooth running of our surgical activities, we are looking for an Operating Theatre Equipment Management Assistant. At the heart of a demanding and collaborative environment, you will contribute to the availability, traceability and compliance of the equipment essential to the safety of interventions and the quality of patient care.
What will you be responsible for?
- Prepare and check equipment, instruments, implants and medical devices according to the surgical schedule
- Check the conformity of deliveries by ensuring the traceability of equipment according to current procedures and store sterilised equipment
- Verify the availability of instruments, implants and loaned medical devices necessary for the daily surgical programme interventions (incoming and outgoing flow of medical devices)
- Collaborate in organising the equipment flow and contribute to optimising equipment circuits and stock management
- Apply hygiene, safety and risk prevention rules
- Participate in stock management and inventories in collaboration with partner services

The Equipment Management Unit (UGM) consists of a team of 4 dynamic and committed professionals. Responsive and solution-oriented, it works daily to ensure efficient management of equipment, medical devices and consumables necessary for the smooth running of operating theatre activities.

In this position, you will be supervised by Michela Cappelli, Head of the UGM division. Available, caring and respectful, she strongly encourages collaboration and mutual support. She ensures a work environment conducive to team fulfilment while embedding her actions in a continuous improvement and practice optimisation approach.

Essentials:
- Comfort with common IT tools and ability to use management software
- Rigour, organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure equipment compliance and traceability
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Versatility, practical mindset and ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
- Discretion, reliability and sense of responsibility
- Motivation to develop in a demanding technical environment where quality and safety of care are priorities
Your assets:
- Experience in an operating theatre, sterilisation service or hospital environment
- Knowledge of Opale software
- Knowledge of medical devices, implants or surgical instruments
- Mastery of traceability, hygiene and stock management principles
- Excellent adaptability and learning skills
- Continuous improvement mindset and interest in optimising logistical processes
