Responsibilities:
Leadership, promotion, and development of team leaders as well as employees of the international transport departments
Responsibility for the strategic direction and continuous optimisation of the sea freight, air freight, and European traffic areas
Management of purchasing, pricing, and the entire quotation process in international transport business
Expansion and maintenance of a global network of forwarding partners, agents, and service providers
Development and standardisation of processes as well as ensuring efficient use of the transport management system
Planning and conducting internal training and professional development
Responsibility for the budget, financial control, and reporting of the department
Qualifications:
Completed commercial apprenticeship in the forwarding or logistics industry with further training at the higher professional examination level
Several years of professional and leadership experience in international transport or forwarding logistics
Compliance with applicable BAZL requirements and an impeccable reputation
Strong leadership skills, high customer orientation, and confident appearance
Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking as well as experience with ERP or transport management systems
Very good German and English skills, spoken and written; additional foreign languages are a plus
