La Maison Béthel is an innovative intermediate care facility catering to adults (18-65 years) with temporary or chronic psychological fragility. The establishment is located in an idyllic neighbourhood of Blonay and can accommodate 22 people for short stays. Its supervised apartments also house 14 residents.
We are looking for a
Health Care Assistant / Night Watcher
on a permanent contract at 60% - 80% (including approximately 10% to 20% night shifts)
Health Care Assistant
Your mission:
As a health care assistant, you contribute to supporting care recipients and their relatives in daily life activities in a personalised manner according to the institution’s values. Your work is carried out interdisciplinarily with all the professionals of the institution.
Possibility to perform night shifts, including ensuring the safety and support of care recipients, managing situations requiring intervention, and communicating with the day team.
Your objectives:
- Ensure, within the limits of your skills and delegated responsibilities, the daily support of care recipients in daily life activities, their comfort, safety, and maintenance of their autonomy;
- Observe their general condition and behaviour, identify significant changes, and report them to the referring professionals;
- Participate, according to your role, in prevention measures, activities, and interventions planned in the individualised care recipient’s project;
- Participate in supporting care recipients in supervised apartments, such as coaching in household chores and meals.
Your qualities and skills:
- Swiss Red Cross Health Care Assistant certificate;
- Professional experience in the field of mental health;
- Good observation, evaluation, and synthesis skills;
- Good organisational and communication skills;
- Ease in teamwork and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration;
- Fluency in spoken and written French as well as proficiency in common computer tools;
- Good knowledge of the Vaud care network is an asset.
