Student BSc in Nursing (Additional Module B)

The Breast and Tumour Centre as well as Gynaecology is a diverse and exciting medical specialty. With us, you will gain a broad insight into modern medical and nursing therapy and treatment options.

What to expect

At the Breast and Tumour Centre, patients with breast or gynaecological cancers are treated on an outpatient basis. Care includes the preparation and administration of chemotherapies, which you will learn in specific internal island training courses. The inpatient gynaecology department has 25 beds and cares for women with gynaecological and oncological diseases. Care includes day clinic patients, patients undergoing complex surgical procedures, as well as supporting patients and their relatives in palliative situations. Furthermore, the gynaecological emergency service is covered in the evenings, at night and on weekends.

You are interested and motivated to complete your bachelor’s degree with the additional module B in the area of the Breast and Tumour Centre and Gynaecology.

Following your studies, you will consolidate your role as a bachelor-level nursing professional through this internship. We offer you varied and challenging activities in an innovative working environment. You will be supported by a young and dynamic team in an open and appreciative working atmosphere. In addition, you have the opportunity to get to know other areas of gynaecology (e.g. the fertility centre) on a day-to-day basis. During the internship, you will be accompanied by an experienced nursing professional. Our offer is based on the recommendations of the Bern University of Applied Sciences. It comprises 90% practical nursing activities and 10% structured learning and insight into the tasks of the nursing expert (e.g. implementation of evidence-based practice).
