You will play a central role in shaping the nationwide rollout of FRMCS. FRMCS is the successor to the railway radio standard GSM-R and forms the basis for secure and efficient radio communication in the future of rail transport. You will work in an interdisciplinary project team and be in direct contact with authorities, municipalities, objectors, media and internal specialist departments throughout Switzerland. What you can achieve.

• In the role of Project and Approval Manager, you will accompany FRMCS RAN projects from planning to implementation and contribute with clear decisions to secure and reliable radio communication in rail transport.
• As the first point of contact for planning approval procedures in the telecom environment, you will manage the procedures including correspondence and further develop standards and templates as a PGV Super User.
• With negotiation skills, you will turn objections into viable solutions and maintain professional exchanges with the Federal Office of Transport, other authorities and private stakeholders.
• You will plan and lead information events with affected municipalities and support communication in response to enquiries from the public and media.
• In the rollout core team, you are the contact person for regional managers, develop guidelines and ensure uniform implementation regarding costs, quality and deadlines.
• With an eye for improvements, you will drive the optimisation of processes and standards in the FRMCS RAN rollout and actively contribute suggestions.

What you bring with you.

• With your communication skills, you negotiate confidently and remain calm, solution-oriented and reliable even in controversial situations.
• You work in a structured and independent manner and appreciate collaboration in interdisciplinary, agile teams.
• Thanks to your written expression skills, you succeed in formulating precise, target-group-appropriate texts for statements, presentations and information materials.
• You bring several years of experience in project management or handling approval procedures in areas such as infrastructure, telecom, energy or construction and benefit from this background.
• To perform this role, you have a university degree (FH/Uni/ETH) or an equivalent qualification in engineering, communication, law or business administration.
• You are fluent in German and French (at least C1). Ideally, you have knowledge of Italian (at least A2) and show willingness to travel throughout Switzerland.
