Specialist Ophthalmologist (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you will help build a modern, predictable outpatient ophthalmological service offering with a focus on procedures that can be performed in an outpatient setting. You will bring your experience as a specialist ophthalmologist and use your own OKP approval for the independent care of your patients. Ideally, you will benefit from an already existing patient and referral network in Eastern Switzerland, which you will specifically integrate into this role. If desired, you can work independently under the attending physician model using existing infrastructure or choose an employment relationship.
Responsibilities:
- You independently perform eyelid surgery such as minor eyelid corrections, blepharoplasties and chalazion removals
- In this role, you undertake oculoplastic procedures on eyelids and periocular soft tissues
- As a specialist ophthalmologist, you surgically remove smaller lesions in the eyelid and periocular area
- You are responsible for performing cataract operations if you have existing surgical experience
- In this role, you use and help shape the outpatient operating setup for further minor ophthalmological procedures
Qualifications:
- You hold an FMH specialist title in ophthalmology or an equivalent foreign specialist title recognised by MEBEKO
- You possess your own OKP approval under the basic insurance
- You have proven independent surgical experience in outpatient ophthalmological procedures
- Ideally, you bring an existing patient base and referral network in the region or are willing to actively build one up
- You have fluent German language skills
- You are willing to engage in a long-term collaboration and jointly develop the ophthalmological offering
