The role of dietitian is attached to the Care Directorate, which guarantees the quality and safety of care within the establishment. This directorate oversees care activities and relies on three deputy directorates dedicated to expertise and professional practices, quality-sustainability and digital innovation, as well as management and transformation.
As part of this mandate, you will ensure the nutritional care of adult patients in poly-oncology according to the nutritional care process.
You regularly perform indirect calorimetry and body composition measurements, actively participate in various clinical and functional meetings, and ensure the maintenance of harmonised nutritional care by applying the principles of Evidence Based Medicine as well as the recommendations of expert societies.
You actively contribute to the prevention of protein-energy malnutrition related to pathologies and treatments, lead workshops and courses for various health professionals, and collaborate with the specialised multidisciplinary team.
You contribute to maintaining a constructive and collaborative team dynamic and, if necessary, cover for your colleagues in the oncology sector as well as in other acute care units.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross and have a practice licence in the canton of Geneva.
Experience in acute care is required; experience in adult intensive care is an advantage.
You have a good command of IT tools, English, and indirect calorimetry (IC) and body composition measurement by bioimpedance analysis.
With an excellent team spirit, you are able to argue and negotiate nutritional care with the medical staff and demonstrate great adaptability.
