What you can contribute

• Manage, from a technical and organisational perspective, the national groundwater quality observation network (NAQUA)
• Design and coordinate the chemical analysis programme for groundwater quality observation with specialised cantonal services
• Contribute to the conceptual and operational development of the national groundwater monitoring programme
• Support projects conducted by research institutions, private laboratories or consulting firms
• Monitor scientific developments related to groundwater quality issues; participate in working groups and represent FOEN in committees
• Write technical publications and expert reports as well as respond to media and parliamentary inquiries in the field of groundwater quality observation

What makes you unique

• Higher education degree in engineering or natural sciences, preferably complemented by a doctorate
• Experience in environmental chemistry and groundwater quality
• Strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities and capacity to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders (federal and cantonal authorities, technicians, etc.)
• Experience in project management and supporting working groups and expert groups
• Innovative and independent personality who enjoys collaborating with many different stakeholders and tackling challenges
• Good active knowledge of at least one additional official language and, if possible, knowledge of a third official language
