A private foundation recognised as being of public utility, Perceval is committed to supporting people with intellectual developmental disorders (children, adolescents and adults) by providing schooling, training, work, care and living spaces. It supports the development of their autonomy, freedom and well-being, within an adapted and secure environment, thanks to qualified, responsible and caring staff. Our socio-educational homes accommodate 6 to 8 beneficiaries.
To complete our management team, we are looking for, for a home welcoming adults with intellectual disabilities with specific mental health needs, a:
Unit Manager for Residential Care (M/F)
Reporting to the adult department management team, you are responsible for managing a home and supervising the dedicated team, with a focus on mental health, well-being, development and the fulfilment of the beneficiaries. You are accountable for operational objectives and contribute, through an interdisciplinary approach, to building a cohesive support system within the Foundation.
Your main duties and responsibilities:
- Define the support framework for the home, its objectives and ensure the annual planning of activities.
- Ensure the quality of support, care and socio-educational practices, while accompanying the beneficiaries.
- Organise, supervise and support the team, allocate tasks according to skills and promote professional development.
- Develop partnerships with families, hospital environments and networks, and ensure effective interprofessional collaboration.
- Act as a liaison with Management, occasionally represent the institution, contribute to its projects and oversee HR, administrative and financial aspects of the home.
Your personal qualities and professional skills:
- Tertiary diploma in social education, ideally complemented by management training, with proven experience in a similar role and ability to manage complex situations.
- Good knowledge of psychiatry, disability, socio-political, professional and legal frameworks, aligned with the institution’s values.
- Dynamic, communicative personality comfortable with cross-functionality and interdisciplinarity, with good stress and emotion management.
- Compassionate leadership, listening and empathy, ability to mobilise a team, create a constructive dynamic and support change.
- Pragmatic, autonomous and responsible, with good organisational and project management skills.
- Driving licence B required.
