For our client active in French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for a Technical Sales Representative for gates and guardrails to strengthen their team.
The company specialises in the marketing of gates, guardrails, privacy screens and external closures intended for residential and commercial buildings. Reporting to the Technical and Sales Managers, your main mission is to develop turnover through a structured sales activity, while ensuring the complete follow-up of projects, from prospecting to the acceptance of works.
You ensure customer satisfaction as well as the profitability of the business, respecting the technical, aesthetic and regulatory constraints specific to the construction sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and retain a portfolio of clients in French-speaking Switzerland, from the initial contact to structured and documented after-sales follow-up.
- Conduct on-site sales meetings to identify customer needs, analyse site constraints and propose suitable solutions in gates and guardrails.
- Market ranges of aluminium gates, guardrails, privacy screens and external fences taking into account applicable technical, aesthetic and regulatory aspects.
- Carry out technical site visits, take measurements and surveys, verify project feasibility and check installation and access constraints.
- Coordinate interventions with installation teams.
- Ensure competitive intelligence on the regional market, participate in trade fairs, sales actions and professional events to support commercial development.
Profile
- Commercial or technical training in the construction field or a related sector.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar technical sales role.
- Experience in external closures, metalwork or carpentry considered a significant asset.
- Autonomy in work organisation, rigour in file follow-up and a strong sense of planning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ease in contacts with private clients, professionals and partners.
- Driving licence mandatory for frequent travel in French-speaking Switzerland.
- Education level corresponding to secondary school training supplemented by a specialisation related to construction.
