Role:

For an internationally oriented technology company in the Basel region, we are looking for a motivated junior personality who wants to establish themselves in finance and accounting and gradually take on more responsibility. The company develops digital B2B solutions and works in a modern, international environment with correspondingly diverse finance processes.

The position is deliberately designed as an entry and development role. Long-standing accounting experience is not required: what matters is an affinity for numbers, a careful working style, and the desire to develop professionally. This makes the position also ideal for school leavers or people with initial commercial work experience.

Responsibilities:

• You check and post incoming supplier invoices and ensure correct account assignment.

• In the accounts receivable area, you support invoicing, payment receipts, and open items.

• You process bank transactions and regularly reconcile them with accounting data.

• You prepare payment runs and check the corresponding payment information.

• In case of discrepancies or missing information, you independently clarify with internal contacts.

• You keep business partner, creditor, and other financial master data up to date.

• You support the finance team with monthly and later also annual closing tasks and continuously expand your accounting knowledge.

• You file receipts and finance-relevant documentation digitally and traceably.

• You create simple evaluations and support administrative finance tasks.

• You actively contribute your ideas to improving and automating recurring processes.

• Depending on development, you gradually take on additional tasks in financial accounting.

Qualifications:

• Completed commercial basic training or comparable qualification

• Initial experience in accounting, finance, or commercial administration is helpful but not a prerequisite

• Enjoyment of numbers and interest in building solid accounting knowledge

• Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Openness to ERP systems and digital finance tools

• Very good German skills in spoken and written form

• Good English skills are an advantage in the international environment

• Careful and reliable working style
