The AIOS Clinic is an FMH-recognised training centre for intensive care medicine (Cat. A), anaesthesiology (Cat. A2), the specialisation title Pain Medicine SSIPM (Swiss Society for Interventional Pain Management; Pain Clinic B) as well as for obtaining the emergency physician certificate SGNOR (SGNOR emergency physician training centre; IVR-certified rescue service).

Medical Director Intensive Care Medicine (Senior Physician)
The interdisciplinary 12-bed intensive care unit is part of the AIOS Clinic (Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, Operating Centre & Pain Medicine). Around 900 patients are treated there annually by a highly motivated and competent team. A structurally and technically state-of-the-art infrastructure is available for this purpose.The AIOS Clinic is an FMH-recognised training centre for intensive care medicine (Cat. A), anaesthesiology (Cat. A2), the specialisation title Pain Medicine SSIPM (Swiss Society for Interventional Pain Management; Pain Clinic B) as well as for obtaining the emergency physician certificate SGNOR (SGNOR emergency physician training centre; IVR-certified rescue service).
You will take on
- Professional, organisational and administrative medical leadership of the interdisciplinary intensive care unit
- Responsibility for a high-quality intensive care patient care in accordance with the certification requirements of the professional society
- In partnership with the nursing department management and based on the values of our company, you will lead the teams and the interdisciplinary collaboration of the intensive care unit
- You ensure integrative cooperation with the clinics, the on-site anaesthesia department and the intensive care unit at the Frauenfeld location
- You participate both in the shift work on the intensive care unit and in the senior background service for intensive care medicine and anaesthesia
- You support the strategic and professional development of intensive care medicine at Spital Thurgau AG
You bring with you
- Specialist in intensive care medicine (FMH) and additionally specialist in anaesthesiology (FMH or recognised in Switzerland)
- Several years of experience with corresponding expertise as a senior intensive care physician at a university hospital or a larger central hospital
- Passion for modern, high-quality and innovative intensive care medicine, embedded in a high degree of interdisciplinarity and interprofessionalism
- A communicative and integrative personality with leadership qualities, pronounced social skills, empathy, organisational talent, didactic skills, persuasiveness and problem-solving ability
- A management qualification or willingness to obtain one
- Enjoyment in the training and further education of students, assistant physicians
