Job Description
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to carry out part of your Master’s work within our Directorate of Monuments and Sites (DMS) to provide practical elements to the theoretical knowledge acquired during your Master’s studies in architecture, MAS in cultural heritage, or any other equivalent training. You will benefit from appropriate supervision by our Conservation Department while gaining valuable experience for your future professional career. On a daily basis, you would be working alongside built heritage conservators whose activities are related to the analysis of building permits concerning buildings or sites protected as heritage.

Responsibilities
- Carry out a practical project to support the preparation of your Master’s or MAS work in cultural heritage;
- Understand the analysis process related to the handling of building permit applications by the Conservation Department;
- Become familiar with methodologies related to working in heritage contexts.

Qualifications
- Student in a Master’s degree in architecture (in progress), MAS in cultural heritage: built and museum (in progress) or any equivalent training;
- Excellent writing and summarising skills;
- Organisational skills and ability to manage priorities;
- Good communication skills;
- Interest in public administration and built heritage conservation.
6-month internship, paid according to the State of Vaud’s scale.
