Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager National Road Construction for the planning and realisation of demanding infrastructure projects in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. You will take overall coordination of complex national road and civil engineering projects and lead interdisciplinary planning teams through various project phases. The focus is on technical project design, BIM-based planning methods, coordination of different specialist disciplines as well as collaboration with public clients. Additionally, you will contribute to the further development of the specialist department and the acquisition of new infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the successful design and execution of demanding national road projects in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary project teams from the fields of road construction, civil engineering, structural engineering and other infrastructure disciplines
Management of projects regarding quality, costs, deadlines and resources as well as ensuring structured project controlling
Handling and coordination of relevant design and realisation phases from variant development to execution
Collaboration with public clients, authorities, specialist planners and other project participants
Application and further development of BIM and digital planning and coordination methods in infrastructure construction
Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA, VSS and other Swiss standards and guidelines in road and infrastructure construction
Technical and organisational coordination of interfaces, approval procedures and specialist planning
Professional support and promotion of younger civil engineers and project staff within the project teams
Participation in offers, tenders and project acquisitions as well as maintaining existing relationships with public clients
Contribution to the strategic and professional further development of the national road construction department
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Civil Engineer ETH/EPFL/FH with a focus on structural engineering, transport infrastructure, civil engineering or comparable specialisation
Several years of professional experience in the design and project management of national road or complex road construction projects in Switzerland
Sound knowledge in leading and coordinating interdisciplinary planning teams
Very good knowledge of Swiss SIA and VSS standards as well as relevant planning and design processes in infrastructure construction
Experience with BIM in infrastructure construction and digital planning processes is an advantage
Experience in project controlling, tenders and collaboration with public clients
German language skills at least level C1 spoken and written
