For the August 2027 intake, we are looking for a first-year commercial apprentice ready to explore a varied and dynamic professional environment! The "Security in the Western Lausanne Area" Association was created to guarantee a community police service for the population. Since 1 January 2008, the municipalities of Bussigny, Chavannes-près-Renens, Crissier, Ecublens, Prilly, Renens, Saint-Sulpice and Villars-Sainte-Croix have been working together within an inter-municipal police force.

To carry out its missions, the Western Lausanne Police (POL) relies on more than a hundred staff members and works in coordination with various partners, notably the Vaud Cantonal Police.

Is this apprenticeship position right for you?

As a commercial apprentice within our Association, you will have the opportunity to discover several administrative areas and develop your skills within different departments, including the Chancellery, the Police Commission and Human Resources.

Your apprenticeship with us:

At the Chancellery:

• Welcoming and informing visitors at the reception of our Police Headquarters;
• Answering and directing telephone calls;
• Processing incoming and outgoing mail;
• Participating in the handling of fines, disputes and police reports;
• Carrying out various filing and archiving tasks.

At the Police Commission:

• Participating in the processing of penal orders and unresolved offences;
• Assisting in the preparation and follow-up of hearings;
• Conducting cash audits;
• Participating in the handling of reports related to public and private domains;
• Answering telephone calls and performing various administrative and filing tasks.

In Human Resources:

• Participating in the management of the employee lifecycle: entries, transfers and departures;
• Assisting in the recruitment process of apprentices;
• Handling and following up on medical certificates;
• Responding to emails and telephone calls;
• Creating and updating various Excel tracking tables and Word documents.

Your profile:

• Successfully obtained compulsory schooling certificate;
• Interest in public service, police professions and/or the legal field;
• Good command of French, both spoken and written;
• Adaptability and ability to cope with change;
• Friendly, motivated personality who enjoys teamwork;
• Organisational skills and sense of responsibility;
• Swiss nationality or holder of a C permit;
• No criminal record or debt enforcement register entries.
