The tasks of the plant and equipment builder are:

Plant and equipment builders create products from the technical drawing through various work processes to final production. Through various separation, forming, and joining techniques such as shearing, bending, grinding, riveting, welding, screwing, individual parts are created and assembled into ventilation systems and devices. Both traditional tools and machines as well as computer-controlled systems are used for this.

The requirements for learning this profession are:

• Interest in technical contexts
• Technical and practical understanding as well as imagination
• Distinct manual skills
• A-student or good B-student
• Independent, precise, and careful work
• Teamwork skills and good manners
