Senior Accountant M/F

Our client, an international company based in Geneva, is seeking an experienced professional capable of independently managing the full accounting of an entity and overseeing the closings in a demanding international environment.

This position is not suitable for an assistant accountant or junior accountant profile. Proven experience in general accounting and closings is essential.

Federal diploma in finance and accounting, Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent training.
Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in general accounting, including significant experience in Switzerland (mandatory).
Experience in an international, industrial or multi-entity environment.
Excellent command of accounting standards, closings and financial controls.
Ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines.
Fluent French and good level of English.
Proficiency in an ERP; knowledge of ProConcept is an advantage. Responsible for the complete accounting of a group entity.
Produce monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
Ensure the reliability of financial statements and accounting entries.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax obligations.
Manage fixed assets.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Collaborate with Finance teams of different subsidiaries.
Be proactive in improving accounting processes.
