As an independent project manager in steel construction, you are responsible for the entire order process of the steel construction projects assigned to you, including costs, deadlines, success, and implementation quality.

To strengthen the technical office, we are looking on behalf of our client for a committed personality as a Project Manager Steel Construction (80-100%).

Your Tasks

In this responsible role, you take on the technical and commercial management of your steel construction projects and accompany them from order placement to successful completion. You are responsible for quality, deadlines, profitability, and compliance with applicable standards.

Your main tasks include:

• Technical and commercial management of steel construction projects
• Monitoring and ensuring timely, quality, and cost-compliant project execution
• Performing static calculations (bar and detail statics)
• Surveying work on construction sites with the tachymeter
• Creating assembly and execution concepts
• Ongoing coordination with clients, site management, architects, engineers, and other project participants
• Developing and implementing optimisation possibilities
• Coordinating and commissioning detailed solutions and design drafts
• Preparing and leading project meetings

Your Profile

As a Project Manager Steel Construction, you are characterised by organisational skills and assertiveness, entrepreneurial thinking, and clear communication. You have a hands-on mentality and are solution-oriented. You act independently and with initiative, are service-oriented, and focus on customer and company benefits. As a decision-maker, you convince with technical competence, expertise, and ideas.

Ideally, you have:

• A completed basic training in steel construction
• Further training as a civil engineer specialising in steel construction or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in steel construction, preferably in project management or a technical environment
• Entrepreneurial thinking and a high degree of initiative
• Business fluent German skills in spoken and written form
• Driving licence category B
