Perceval is a private foundation recognised as being of public utility, supporting children, adolescents and adults with disabilities throughout their journey: schooling, training, work, care and living environment. Our specialised school welcomes 90 pupils aged 4 to 18.
As part of the opening of a new class, we are looking for a specialist teacher ready to participate in this new project and help each pupil progress at their own pace.

Your role

• Participate in setting up the new class: organisation, layout and initial educational guidelines, in connection with the team
• Build tailor-made teaching: define, monitor and assess the objectives of each pupil’s Individualised Educational Plan, based on their abilities and needs
• Help pupils gain autonomy and social integration by transferring their learning to real-life daily situations
• Devise educational approaches adapted to heterogeneous groups, making diversity of profiles a strength
• Be present in school life and support pupils throughout their day
• Take part in the institution’s dynamics, with an open mind and interdisciplinary collaboration

What you bring

• A Master’s degree in specialised teaching or remedial pedagogy, or an equivalent recognised qualification by HEP Vaud or CDIP
• Ideally, experience and training in intellectual disability and associated issues
• Good knowledge of autism spectrum disorders is a valued asset
• Artistic talents (music, theatre…)? They are welcome to enrich your teaching
• A strong sense of responsibility, solid professional ethics and genuine commitment to your practice
