The Heart Centre of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital provides highly specialised centre services for the entire Central Switzerland region. This includes the care of inpatient and outpatient patients, training, teaching, and research. For the clinical cardiology department of the Heart Centre, we are seeking a new medical director starting 1 February 2027.

Your area of responsibility

• Ensuring a high-quality cardiological care; maintaining good collaboration with our referrers
• Leading the teams of physicians and nursing staff in clinical cardiology and the outpatient clinic and being responsible for the further and continuing education of the management area
• Opportunity to participate in clinical research and academic development
• Desire and enthusiasm to further develop the cardiological teams at LUKS

Your experience

• Excellent professional knowledge and broad experience in the field of clinical cardiology
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary team and training work
• Specialist title in cardiology, MEBEKO recognition and good German language skills (at least C1)
• Management and leadership experience as well as academic interest are also desirable
