Operations & Monitoring Technician (m/f/d)

On behalf of our client based in Lausanne, we are looking for an Operations & Monitoring Technician (m/f/d) responsible for monitoring, controlling, and ensuring the continuity of IT systems within an Operations Centre.
Work rate and hours: full-time position, organised in two shifts with a time window from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, with a morning shift and an evening shift.
Your mission
- Monitor and control the Compute, Storage, Network, and application components that make up the technical and application landscape of the IS, then validate the successful completion of backups.
- Detect, diagnose, and qualify software, hardware, and system malfunctions, assess their impact, and assign the appropriate severity level.
- Create and document incident tickets, forward them to the relevant support teams, ensure their follow-up, and participate in the management of blocking incidents.
- Restore the functioning of services and IT infrastructure by performing the technical operations specified in documented procedures.
- Update configuration items in the CMDB, maintain information related to scheduled tasks, support interventions in data centres, and keep operational procedures up to date.
Your profile
- At least one year of professional experience in IT operations, supervision, and IT monitoring.
- Good knowledge of information systems, IT infrastructures, and Compute, Storage, Network, and application environments.
- Experience in monitoring, backup control, incident management, ticket tracking, and application of technical procedures.
- Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve software, hardware, and system malfunctions, respecting priorities and severity levels.
- Residence within 30 minutes of Lausanne
