ICT Network Security Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role, you design powerful, secure, and highly available networks and ensure that data flows are stable and reliable. You are responsible for planning, configuring, and optimising network components such as switches, routers, and firewalls. You also analyse faults, resolve complex incidents, and ensure smooth operation through monitoring and troubleshooting. You contribute your expertise to further develop network concepts, implement security policies, and maintain standards. With your experience as a network engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring that modern IT infrastructures remain efficient, scalable, and future-proof.
Responsibilities:
You design, implement, and operate secure and reliable network and security solutions for a sustainable energy supply
In this role, you analyse faults and security events, coordinate appropriate measures, and contribute to stable and secure operations together with your team during regular on-call duties
As a network engineer, you plan and execute developments, lifecycle measures, and migrations including the associated documentation
You continuously develop existing network environments, standards, and operational processes together with the team and in flexible working groups
In this role, you work on projects as well as in operational operations with internal departments and external partners
Qualifications:
You have completed a degree in computer science or business informatics or have comparable education and training
You have extensive experience in the design, implementation, operation and troubleshooting of complex, hybrid network and security infrastructures
You ideally hold certifications in network and operational security environments
You communicate confidently in German and have good English skills (at least level B2)
