About the job
- Leading and executing finance transformation projects for global and mid-sized financial services clients in Switzerland. This includes defining scope, developing strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring successful implementation.
- Building and maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders within global and mid-sized Swiss banks and insurance companies.
- Identifying client needs and actively positioning KPMG as a trusted partner for finance transformation with global and mid-sized Swiss banks and insurance companies. A key part of this is identifying new opportunities as well as defining and implementing go-to-market strategies.
- Driving the development of KPMG’s finance transformation offerings for the Swiss market. This includes areas such as finance/CFO strategy, target operating model development, value-based bank management, EPM and FP&A, AI and data transformation, as well as finance operations.
- Building, leading, and mentoring a team of finance transformation consultants (5-8 full-time employees over a period of 1-3 years).
- Tracking industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the Swiss banking and insurance sector, particularly active research and analysis of new technologies, regulations, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
- In-depth knowledge of the Swiss banking and insurance market, including regulatory frameworks, key stakeholders at global and mid-sized target clients, as well as industry trends.
- Proven track record in consulting for the acquisition, leadership, and implementation of finance transformation projects in the banking and insurance sector, including topics such as finance/CFO strategy, target operating model development, value-based bank management, EPM and FP&A, AI and data transformation, finance operations.
- Strong expertise in financial services, including solid knowledge in accounting, finance, and regulatory compliance. Practical experience in a senior finance role within a bank (accounting and/or controlling) is an advantage.
- Good understanding of core banking systems (Avaloq, Finnova) and non-core applications (e.g. ERP systems such as Abacus, SAP S/4HANA).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent German (native) and English are required; good French is a significant advantage.
