In this position, you design customer-specific production equipment and tooling for the manufacture of high-performance charging solutions and accompany their development from the initial idea to series-ready implementation. Together with internal and international specialists, you develop technically well-thought-out solutions that combine functionality, manufacturing quality, ergonomics, and cost-effectiveness. At the same time, you contribute to the establishment of modern, digitalised production lines and support international sites in the introduction and further development of manufacturing and automation solutions.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualisation and design of tooling, operating equipment, and production aids for HPC manufacturing
Development and evaluation of various technical solution concepts considering function, quality, ergonomics, and costs
Support of development projects in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders until successful series integration
Planning and execution of prototype construction, testing, and validation of newly developed tooling and devices
Creation, adjustment, and maintenance of CAD drawings, parts lists, and technical documentation
Work with CATIA and PDM within the scope of design development and documentation
Co-design of the next generation of digital, modular, and intelligent production lines
Technical consulting and support of international HPC production sites
Participation in the planning and implementation of digitalisation and automation programmes
Further development of existing production solutions with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and series capability
Qualifications:
Completed FH/HF degree in engineering, process technology, systems engineering, or comparable technical qualification
Several years of experience in the design and development of apparatus, tooling, or devices in an industrial environment
Experience in the electrical engineering environment is an advantage
Very good CAD skills, ideally in CATIA
Confident handling of MS Office as well as technical documentation and PDM systems
Strong understanding of technical and physical relationships
Analytical, structured, and independent working style with high quality standards
Strong initiative, enthusiasm for innovation, and manual dexterity
Communicative personality with high social competence and enjoyment of international collaboration
Willingness to undertake international business trips
Fluent German skills as well as very good English skills in spoken and written form
