The Biel Hospital Centre is the public central hospital of the bilingual Biel-Seeland-Berne Jura region (Switzerland). The Wildermeth Children’s Clinic includes the disciplines of paediatrics and paediatric surgery; it operates its own interdisciplinary emergency department, an outpatient clinic, and a total of 26 beds (including 6 neonatal beds).
Paediatrics is responsible for extended primary care of inpatient and outpatient patients and offers a broad clinical spectrum in general paediatrics as well as neonatology and other paediatric specialities. It is recognised as a training centre of category B2 S1 P2 (2 years).
We are looking for a Senior Physician or Deputy Senior Physician Paediatrics 60-100% from 1 February 2027 or by arrangement:

Your tasks – our position
- In your role, you will care for our patients together with an experienced team and participate in the senior physician on-call service (Deputy Senior Physician with additional support)
- You will be involved in the training and further education of students and assistant doctors
- You will take on organisational and administrative additional tasks
- Opportunity to collaborate in an established paediatric practice
Your skills – our requirements
- You hold or are close to obtaining the specialist title in paediatrics and adolescent medicine and have experience in clinical paediatrics, neonatology, and emergency medicine
- You enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration with representatives of other specialties
- You can communicate in German and French and are proficient in one of the two languages, both spoken and written
