Head of Purchasing 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

Strategic Purchasing

• You develop and implement the purchasing strategy - always in line with the company’s objectives

• You build a powerful supplier network and continuously develop it - nationally and internationally

• You keep an eye on the market, identify procurement risks and uncover optimisation potentials

• You negotiate skilfully and conclude framework agreements as well as attractive price and condition agreements

• You develop measures for cost optimisation while ensuring a secure supply

• You evaluate suppliers based on quality, costs and delivery performance - and drive their further development

Operational Purchasing

• You manage the entire procurement process - from requirements determination to timely material availability

• You ensure that material supply runs economically and according to demand

• You have a firm grip on purchasing key figures, budgets and inventories

• You work closely with production, quality and logistics

• You ensure that quality requirements as well as aviation-specific standards and regulations are met

• You are responsible for monthly closings and purchasing-relevant evaluations

Leadership and Organisation

• You further develop processes, systems and methods in purchasing

• You contribute to cross-departmental projects and actively support change processes

• You are the central contact person for internal and external stakeholders in all purchasing matters

What do I need to be successful?

Completed technical or commercial apprenticeship with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) with further training in purchasing, supply chain management or business administration

• Several years of professional experience in strategic and operational purchasing, ideally in a regulated market

• Experience in supplier management

• Knowledge of quality and aviation standards (EN 9100, ISO 9001) is an advantage

• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written

• Confident handling of ERP systems and MS Office

• Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness and high initiative

• Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
