- Personnel, professional, strategic and financial management including responsibility for implementing legal requirements and further developing the office
- Participation in the management of the Education Directorate, including advising on strategic and operational educational issues
- Preparing decision-making bases for the government, the directorate and political committees as well as representing corresponding concerns towards politics, administration, municipalities, schools and the public
- Networking at national, regional and local levels: developing and maintaining sustainable relationships with school authorities, school management, specialist offices and other stakeholders
- Developing foundations within working or project groups to ensure the continuous quality development of Nidwalden primary schools while promoting solution-oriented collaboration
Your profile
- University degree in social and/or humanities sciences combined with many years of practical experience as a teacher or headteacher at primary school level
- Several years of leadership experience (ideally CAS/MAS in leadership) as well as sound knowledge of primary schools and their legal foundations
- Strong interest in administration and educational policy topics
- You are a skilled negotiator and generalist with a high ability to integrate; the variety of tasks in a small canton appeals to you
- You are an initiative-taking, linguistically very proficient and resilient personality with a flair for interdisciplinary work
- You have a high problem-solving competence, think both analytically and in networks, and convince relevant stakeholders both orally and in writing
