Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role, you design modern, reliable IT infrastructures and ensure that demanding environments for various customer groups run stably and efficiently. You plan and implement flexible IT solutions on-premise, in the cloud, and in hybrid scenarios, always keeping costs, performance, and security in view. You rely on a powerful high-performance cloud and use current technologies to optimally meet individual customer requirements. You are responsible for the smooth operation of the systems, analyse faults, and proactively drive optimisations. Through your commitment, you support sustainable IT architectures that create long-term added value and stability.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive support and technical development of heterogeneous IT landscapes for various customers.
Administration of Microsoft-based server and client systems as well as cloud-supported workplace and collaboration services.
Planning and implementation of virtualisation and remote desktop solutions for different requirements.
Execution of system updates, maintenance windows, migrations, and technical optimisations.
Handling escalated incidents and complex problems at 3rd-level support.
Participation in infrastructure projects around cloud, workplace, network, security, and system automation.
Improvement of operational standards, monitoring, backup concepts, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience as a system engineer, infrastructure engineer, or in a comparable role.
Confident handling of Microsoft Windows Server, client operating systems, and M365 services.
Practical experience with virtualisation, VDI/RDS, or comparable workplace platforms.
Knowledge of Azure, Entra ID, Intune, PowerShell, or network and security technologies is a plus.
Enjoyment of technical analyses and a structured approach to faults and projects.
High degree of personal responsibility, self-organisation, and willingness for professional development.
Empathetic and professional manner towards customers and team members as well as very good German and English skills.
