Dipl. Nurse: Weekly Clinic Heart-Vascular Centre

In the weekly clinic of the Heart-Vascular Centre at the University Hospital Bern, we support patients around cardiological interventions - from preparation through the procedure to discharge. You can expect a dynamic working environment with short stays, diverse medical conditions, and demanding nursing situations. What awaits you

• Cardiological interventions: You care for patients before and after interventional procedures such as cardiac catheter examinations, coronary interventions (PCI), TAVI, and other structural as well as electrophysiological procedures
• Pre- and postoperative care: You specifically prepare patients for the procedure, monitor them after the intervention, and recognise possible complications early
• Short length of stay: You accompany patients during a short, often planned stay and ensure safe and individually tailored care
• Clinical assessment: You observe the clinical condition of your patients attentively, respond appropriately to changes, and initiate corresponding measures
• Patient education: You inform and advise patients clearly about the procedure, aftercare, and behaviour after hospital discharge and ensure a safe handover to further care
• Interprofessional collaboration: You work closely with the medical team, the interventional department, and other involved professional groups
• Structured workflows: You work in a department organised according to Lean principles with clear, well-coordinated, and well-thought-out structures

What you bring with you

• Diploma as a nurse HF/FH or an equivalent qualification
• Independence and organisational talent: You work in a structured way, set priorities, and keep an overview even in changing situations and short stays
• Interest in cardiology: You enjoy cardiological issues and want to continuously expand your knowledge of interventional procedures
• Patient orientation: You approach our patients with empathy, respect, and an open ear - even if the length of stay is short
• Lean mindset: You like clear structures and well-organised processes, think solution-oriented, and enjoy actively shaping and further developing processes
