With nearly 1,300 employees, the Department of Psychiatry fulfils a triple mission concerning the treatment of mental disorders, education, and research. Thus, the department's mission is to detect and effectively treat increasingly frequent and diverse pathologies while respecting patients and their relatives.

The Addiction Service ensures the diagnosis and therapeutic management of patients suffering from addiction problems (with and/or without substances), aligning with the Confederation and canton policies in the field of addictions, known as the "4 pillars" (prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and individual care).

As a head of clinic, with or without a specialty title, you will ensure the psychiatric follow-up of patients/detainees within the service (closed or open environment).

You will work in a demanding clinical setting, at the intersection of care, justice, and security issues, in close collaboration with experienced multidisciplinary teams.

Your approach is based on an individualised therapeutic method aimed at stabilising mental disorders, rehabilitating symptoms, and preventing relapse. You contribute to comprehensive care that respects the dignity of individuals and the ethical principles specific to psychiatry in a context of constraint. In this role, you work in a coordinated manner with professionals with complementary skills, such as nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and psychomotor therapists.

Alongside your activity, you have the opportunity to complete, if not already done, your integrated postgraduate training contributing to obtaining the specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy.

You hold the federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).

If you already hold your specialist title, you possess the cantonal practice licence or are able to obtain it before starting your position.

For non-French speakers, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.

Experience with persons deprived of liberty is an asset, and you already have some experience in psychiatry.

As part of your appointment, a police check will be conducted for your assignment in a closed environment.
