IT Support Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you are the first point of contact for incoming enquiries and ensure that concerns are handled in a friendly, competent and efficient manner. You receive faults and support cases via various channels, analyse them systematically and find suitable solutions or forward them to the appropriate department. You document all processes carefully and ensure that information is recorded completely and comprehensibly. With your technical understanding, you support users in their daily handling of systems and applications, thus contributing to smooth operations. Through your service-oriented approach, you strengthen users’ trust and continuously improve service quality.
Responsibilities:
- You are the first point of contact for employees with IT enquiries and provide 1st level support via telephone, ticket and email
- In this role, you analyse and resolve faults related to workplace systems, Microsoft 365, standard software and peripheral devices, and manage users and permissions
- As first level support, you install and configure clients and software, document solutions in the ticket system and assist users with questions about standard applications
- You work together with the IT team on rollouts, changes and IT projects, prepare complex tickets for 2nd level support and further develop the knowledge base
- In this role, you take on a deputy function in the application management of schulNetz and support operations, user administration, testing and updates
- As first level support, you are ready to accompany a learning ICT specialist EFZ and jointly ensure the agreed support times within the team
Qualifications:
- You have completed training in IT or a commercial basic education with ICT further training (e.g. ICT specialist EFZ or IT specialist EFZ) or a comparable qualification
- You have experience in IT support, ideally in 1st level support, and in handling ticket systems as well as structured incident handling
- You are familiar with Microsoft 365, Office applications and common browsers
- You convince with a high level of service and customer orientation and can explain technical topics clearly
- You work independently, reliably and proactively, take responsibility and bring team spirit
- You are resilient and flexible in demanding support situations and are prepared for a few on-call duties per year
