As a Java Lead Developer, you take on a central role in the technical implementation of demanding customer projects in the public sector. You combine excellent technical expertise with a strong, consultancy-oriented mindset and excel at the interface between technology and customer. You support our customers in a solution-oriented manner, speak their language, and simultaneously provide technical impulses within the team. If suitable and interested, there is also the possibility to develop further towards specialist or line management roles.
Job Description
- Technical leadership, coaching, and support of developer teams of up to 5 developers
- Development of Java-based software projects (frontend/backend)
- Consulting customers in the areas of software architectures, technical solution approaches, and project procedures
- Close collaboration with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders
- Application and promotion of agile methods (Scrum), best practice approaches, clean code, and DevOps culture
- Ensuring that agreed quality and security standards are met
- Responsible for architectural decisions as well as review and further development of existing system landscapes
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and specialist departments on the customer side
Qualifications
- Completed training as an IT specialist at FZ/FA, HF, or university level
- Several years of experience in Java development (Spring, JPA, REST, etc.)
- Good to very good knowledge in frontend with frameworks such as Angular or Bootstrap is an advantage
- Solid experience in designing and implementing complex applications
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage
- Confident appearance in customer contact combined with high communication and consulting skills
- Strong social skills – team player who puts the collective "we" first
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form, English at a good level
- Residence in Switzerland
