Cloud Infrastructure Architect (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you ensure that measurements are always reliable, precise, and traceable by building and further developing modern cloud infrastructures. You are responsible for the design, architecture, and integration of scalable cloud solutions that stably support demanding measurement, calibration, and evaluation processes. You define and implement security, compliance, and availability requirements to permanently protect sensitive measurement and environmental data. You work closely with interdisciplinary departments to translate their requirements into robust, future-proof cloud architectures and to further develop technical standards. Through your expertise, you contribute decisively to operating digital measurement processes efficiently, securely, and at the highest technical level.
Responsibilities:
- You design, implement, and operate cloud platforms with a focus on SaaS and support incident, change, and problem management.
- In this role, you work closely with internal departments and external service providers.
- You create and maintain technical documentation for the cloud solutions you manage.
- As a cloud infrastructure architect, you administer and configure Entra ID, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune/Endpoint Management, Exchange Online, and Conditional Access.
- You implement and further develop security functions in the Microsoft cloud environment.
- In this role, you technically accompany external partners during design, implementation, and migration phases.
Qualifications:
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist EFZ with appropriate further education (e.g., HF in IT or comparable qualification) as well as several years of experience in engineering and operating cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS)
- Very solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure as well as good knowledge of AWS
- Ideally experience with other cloud platforms, on-premises systems, open-source technologies, and IT security
- Service-oriented, committed, and reliable personality with a strong team spirit
- Willingness to be on call and responsible handling of operational tasks
- Confident communication in German or French, good knowledge of the other official language, and solid English skills
