The Nursing Directorate embodies the authority in nursing matters. Its mission is to ensure the quality and safety of care within the institution. To this end, the Nursing Directorate oversees all nursing activities (nurses and various health professional groups). To fulfil its mission, it relies on three areas of expertise: quality, sustainability and digital innovation; clinical expertise and professional practices; management and transformation.
You hold a cross-functional dietitian position and provide cover for your colleagues within the Rehabilitation and Geriatrics, Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences Departments, across all external HUG sites. In this role, you ensure the nutritional follow-up of patients under the supervision of the team’s lead dietitian.
As a dietitian, your mission is to enable patients to maintain, recover or improve their functional abilities and quality of life, taking into account ethical and deontological aspects.
You apply Evidence Based Practice (EBP) and carry out your care interventions according to the criteria of the nutritional care process.
You are responsible for rigorous and regular documentation of patient records.
You are active in preventing hospital protein-energy malnutrition.
You assist and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate in the training of students and health professionals.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a recognised qualification registered with the Swiss Red Cross.
You have experience and a strong interest in clinical nutrition in the fields of acute care, rehabilitation, psychiatry and geriatrics.
You are proficient in performing and interpreting indirect calorimetry measurements as well as body composition measurements by bio-impedance. You are comfortable managing artificial nutrition.
You possess excellent communication skills, know how to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and are able to integrate quickly into a new environment.
Your intellectual and professional curiosity are recognised. Furthermore, you have the ability to adopt a reflective attitude, promoting continuous professional development.
You are organised, autonomous in managing your time and activities, flexible, and capable of handling multiple simultaneous demands.
Moreover, a degree of mobility in your professional practice appeals to you.
For non-French speakers, a C1 level in French is required. The ability to read scientific articles (including in English) is necessary.
Perfect command of common IT tools (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is essential.
