CARPENTER INSTALLER
FITTINGS
1. Preparatory Work
Read and interpret plans, technical diagrams and installation instructions.
Check and prepare supports and surfaces (walls, floors, ceilings) before installation.
Take precise measurements and mark out for the placement of elements.
Install protections for adjacent areas (floors, walls, furniture, technical equipment).
2. Installation and Assembly
Install and assemble different types of fitting elements:
Custom furniture, cupboards, wardrobes, counters
Kitchen and bathroom elements
Bookshelves, partitions, decorative panels
Make precise adjustments for corners, thresholds and building irregularities.
Install varied fixing systems (screws, plugs, metal supports, professional adhesives).
Assemble complex structures (sliding panels, modular elements, glazed doors).
3. Finishing
Check the alignment, level and aesthetics of installed elements.
Carry out surface finishing: sanding, fitting, installation of profiles and skirting boards.
Fit handles, hinges, fittings and accessories.
Control the final quality according to Swiss standards and specifications.
4. Repairs and Renovation
Remove and replace damaged or worn elements.
Adapt existing installations to site or client constraints.
Carry out adjustments and fine-tuning after installation.
5. General Skills and Safety
Be autonomous, precise and organised.
Work in coordination with other trades (plumbers, electricians, plasterers).
Manage tools and materials (saws, drills, screwdrivers, laser level, pliers).
Respect Swiss safety standards and PPE (gloves, goggles, safety shoes, helmet if necessary).
