Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the stable, secure, and high-performance operation of our Oracle databases in productive and non-productive environments.
Administration, monitoring, and lifecycle management of the database platform including backup, recovery, and high availability.
Analysis and optimisation of database performance, capacity, and availability as well as sustainable resolution of technical issues.
Planning and execution of releases, patches, migrations, and technical changes in the database environment.
Automation and standardisation of operational tasks as well as close collaboration with application, development, and infrastructure teams.
Qualifications:
Completed training or degree in computer science or a comparable technical qualification.
Several years of experience as an Oracle DBA in complex IT environments.
Sound knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, performance tuning, as well as backup and recovery procedures.
Experience with high availability and ideally technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, RAC or RMAN.
Good Linux skills, analytical thinking, and a structured, reliable working style.
