Platform Engineer Cloud & Datacentre (m/f/d)
Role:
This position combines cloud engineering, infrastructure operations and automation in a modern datacentre environment. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who develops platforms further, operates cloud services and is responsible for complex infrastructure topics.
Responsibilities:
Operation and further development of modern cloud and datacentre platforms
Collaboration with IT partners during planning, implementation and operation
Handling complex 2nd-level support cases
Development of new cloud services and automation of infrastructure processes
Provision of technical professional services in the storage and cloud environment
Continuous optimisation of the platform and operational landscape
Qualifications:
Completed IT training and several years of experience in the cloud or datacentre environment
Very good knowledge of virtualisation, software-defined networking and cloud management
Experience with PowerShell or Python as well as REST APIs
Know-how in networking, security, storage, backup or disaster recovery
Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, infrastructure as code, VDI or cloud security is an advantage
Independent, analytical working style as well as very good German and English skills
